DJ qbe has been active on the Czech underground electronic music scene since 1996. His musical beginnings are linked to house and techno; later on, he was part of the Pel Mel collective and became a co-founding member of the Metro freeparty soundsystem. From the very start, he played an active role in developing the local culture—not only behind the mixing desk but also as a co-promoter and event organizer, bringing a number of foreign producers and live projects to the Czech Republic for the first time. He also left a significant mark on the breakbeat scene with the Bassassins project. In his current sets, he combines acid, techno, electro, and freetekno. Over his three decades in the scene, he has played countless sets in clubs, at open-air festivals, and teknivals across the Czech Republic and Europe.
